![]() Click Image To Enlarge Bill was born on September 30, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Detroit, Michigan where Bill grew up and graduated from Denby High School. In 1961 the family moved to Silver Lake in Fenton, Michigan where Bill worked for Lakeside Builders. In 1962 he served in the U. S. Navy Pacific Fleet ComPhibRon 5 amphibious forces in Viet Nam as an electronics technician. After discharge, Bill attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and received a diploma in Missionary Aviation and a certificate in Advanced Flight in 1971. From 1971 to 1978 Bill worked as an aviation maintenance technician, Authorized FAA Inspector, test pilot, air-taxi and charter pilot. From 1978 to 1980 he was a Production Supervisor, machine builder and corporate pilot for Industrial Holographics which made non-destructive holographic tire testing equipment for the automotive, truck and aircraft industries. In 1980-82 he worked as a Senior Designer/Assistant Project Manager with SSOE engineering firm with major projects for Buick, Chevrolet and Rock Island Arsenal. 1982-2000 found Bill at Atlas Technologies as a detailer, layout man, designer, project manager and corporate pilot. Since then he has been self employed as the owner of WPK Design, Kuyk Aviation and Kuyk Construction. Bill is a licensed builder and holds a Commercial Pilots license with Instrument, Single and Multi-engine land ratings, Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor, and Airframe and Power plant Mechanic ratings. Bill has been a resident of Holly 27 years and has one son, Will, Jr., an Air Force veteran, attending Wayne State, daughters Jean in Seattle, Washington and Christine, a U.S. Navy aircrew veteran, in Comer, Georgia, with two granddaughters. All three children graduated from Holly Area schools. COMMUNITY SERVICE
Bill believes that as a councilman he is the servant of the people of Holly and as such tries to represent the needs and wishes of the people. |
